One last Project Quilting for 2024. This challenge came out on March 17 with a
theme of Irish Chain. I of course could
only think of the Irish Chain block. I
originally thought I would make a baby quilt, but a well-meaning friend told me
I could only do a small piece as I wouldn’t have time to finish something
bigger. I thought I was making a wallhanging,
but it may end up as a table runner.
This week's Project Quilting challenge was Wearables as a nod to Project Runway the inspiration for Project Quilting. If I were home I would have all kinds of options. Here in Florida with the fabric my mother left me, not so much. I do have 3 great nieces ages 1, 2, and 3 (two sets of parents). So a doll quilt it is.
I drew up some dresses and this is what I came up with.
It looks a bit too much like a poster for Breast Cancer Awareness for my tastes, but the 2 year already called dibs on the quilt.
